The mission of the IOFF is to be the global platform for ocean literacy and education throughout independent film. Since its inception in 2004, the IOFF hosts its annual, flagship three-day ocean film festival for audiences of all ages.

Through the power of visual storytelling and independent films, audiences are inspired to protect our oceans and become part of the solution. As a year-round ocean conservation organization, the IOFF is proud to screen ocean-inspired films from around the world, followed by post-screening Q&As with film directors, producers and leading industry experts.
